Civil Agent – Utilities(Gas) - Letchworth 

We are partnering with a ‘cradle to grave’ project delivery partner specialising in planning, commercial and project management. Due to continued growth in their Civils team, they are seeking an experienced Civil Agent to aid with their civils and utilities (Gas) projects.

Responsibilities

Site Management & Supervision
Manage day-to-day civil works on gas utility projects, ensuring safe, efficient delivery in line with programme requirements and client specifications across sites in the Letchworth area.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
Ensure full compliance with UK gas industry standards, HSG47, CDM Regulations, and company HSE procedures, promoting a strong safety culture across site teams and subcontractors.
Planning & Coordination
Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors, working closely with gas engineers, local authorities, and other stakeholders to minimise disruption and maintain progress.
Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance
Oversee reinstatement, excavation, and associated civil works, ensuring workmanship meets specification, NRSWA standards, and client quality requirements.
Reporting & Client Liaison
Maintain accurate site records, permits, and daily reports, acting as the main point of contact with the client, inspectors, and local authority representatives.

Requirements

Must have relevant and valid utilities certifications (i.e. EUSR Gas)
Must have previous experience in a similar role on Utilities projects
Must be based within a commutable distance of Letchworth

Benefits

£340 - £350 per day
